Pleasant Cemetery, just southwest of Willard, MO.  We are calling the event “Missouri’s Last Revolutionary Patriot, A Celebration of Service”.  The event is being held in conjunction with the Our Town Fall Festival & Country Show.  There will be a brief presentation by the Willard High School History Club on James Barham at 11:15.

James Barham was born on May 18, 1764 in Virginia.  In 1781 he joined the Virginia militia and served until the end of the American Revolution.  He married first, Prudence Freeman Dunn and moved to Kentucky.  Prudence died and James married secondly, Mary Huston.  He eventually moved to Greene County, Missouri to be close to some of his children.  He died on January 8, 1865 and was buried in the Mt.
